Wenn unsere alten Freunde, die Ägypter, sich einen amtlichen McGizeh stapeln, Tiere und Freunde anfangen ihre sieben Sachen zu packen, Dinos auf den Tischen tanzen, während die Eichhörnchen anfangen breit über’s ganze Gesicht zu grinsen – Ja dann ist wieder die Lousy Livin’ Karawane auf ihrem ungebremsten Vormarsch in die große bunte Manege des Modezirkus, um mit ihrer extravaganten Raritätennummer zu glänzen – Hereinspaziert, “There is nothing wrong with love!” …

ERÖFFNUNG: FREITAG, 13. NOVEMBER 2009, 19 UHR

Der Bielefelder Kunstverein zeigt vom 14. November 2009 bis zum 24. Januar
2010 die thematische Gruppenausstellung »Mehr als ein T-Shirt«. Im
Mittelpunkt steht das T-Shirt als künstlerisches Medium. Die Ausstellung
zeigt eine Auswahl beispielhafter Projekte von internationalen Künstlern,
Designern und Modemachern.

Die Projekte greifen die verschiedenen kulturgeschichtlichen Entwicklungen
des T-Shirts auf. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Arbeiten, die sich im erweiterten
Sinne mit dem Medium T-Shirt als Objekt, Text- oder Bildträger
auseinandersetzen. So sind im Bielefelder Kunstverein neben zahlreichen
T-Shirts auch die Medien Skulptur, Malerei, Zeichnung, Video vertreten als
auch Dokumentationen von Aktionen, Performances oder Tanz zu sehen.

BIELEFELDER KUNSTVEREIN SHOWS »MORE THAN A T-SHIRT«

From 14 November 2009 to 24 January 2010 the Bielefelder Kunstverein shows the thematic group exhibition »More than a T-Shirt«. It centres around the t-shirt as an artistic medium. The exhibition shows a selection of exemplary projects by international artists, designers and fashion designers.

The projects shown in the exhibition take up the diverse developments of
the T-Shirt in cultural history. Not only T-shirts are on display, but
especially works which, in a wider sense, engage with the medium of the
T-shirt as an object or as a carrier of text or images. At the Bielefelder
Kunstverein, there are accordingly represented, in addition to numerous
T-shirts, the media of sculpture, painting, drawing and video, as well as
the documentation of actions, performances or dance events too.

Kommt an Board – Es weht wieder frischer Wind im Rollbrettsport! Dank dieser streng limitierten Boards als Hommage an unsere Teamfahrer, Niklas Speer von Cappeln und David Marlo Conrads, die sich für die Vollendung unserer Skatevideo Trilogie „Rollen Aller“ bis zum bitteren Ende aufopfern werden – AALe Achtung!!! RESPEKT geht natürlich auch an den Rest des ganzen Teams raus, ohne Euch wäre AAL dies nicht möglich;)

RAVE IS STILL KING!

As y’all know “Rave is King” originally was a great t-shirt design of Stefan Marx, which was leant on an oldschool skateboard design by Rodney Mullen and was first released in 2004 by Cleptomanicx, then used in a collaboration with playhouse for Isoleé in 2007 and is now still available in our onlineshop – But…

…as we told you more than once, FUKKK OFFF, a good friend of us named an electro track “Rave is King” as well. In 2009 his debut album is released on Cocomachete/NYC and the track became a dancefloor bomb, just as we supposed;) Dj’s like Moby, Moonbootica and many many more are now playing his tracks across the planet – And the story had just begun…

 NOW! An exclusive and limited FUKKK OFFF edition of the “Rave is King” t-shirt is available in our shop! It will jazz up your party outfit for sure – So go for it;)

The “AALride”-bike!

This extraordinary bike was especially designed and hand-drawn by Stefan Marx for our good friend and former best guy photographer David Böttger, a.k.a. “empty battery”;) He is now bringing home the bacon as one of the craziest despatch rider on the roads of Hamburg – With his new bicycle he’ll surely bask through the city, knowing all the rat runs, delivers quickly and hits the road again - break a leg!!! Cheers…

Crazy - This new range of products, processed with our dizzy design-line “Can D”, will raise a smile of you!!! Walking trees, a shit-eating grin of a skull with his victory claw and several trippy elements gathered allover hoodies, zippers, sweats, tees and lots of accessories – A masterstroke of Stefan Marx, who serves a fantastic dish of extraordinary candies out of his mind-blowing, sweet imaginaryworld especially made for our Team member Dennis Laass and his 10 jubilee riding for Clepto! This design refers to Dennis’ job as a warehouse clerk in a food depot, where he gets addicted to candies – so “Candy Dennis” was born! As long as it doesn’t afford to get caries…
