Gefühlt war es eine halbe Ewigkeit, dass eine Jahr ohne Labskaus. Umso grösser war dann auch die Freude, dass Veranstalter Martin Danker wieder in der Stadt ist und Hamburg seinen Lieblings-Skatecontest zurück hat.  Eine grandiose Kiezschnizzeljagd, mit anschliessender Pre-Contest-Blockparty im Hafenklang und ein sonniger Contest-Session-Tag mit gutem Skateboarding machten das Labskaus Wochenende 2009 rund, da sind sich wir uns AALe einig.

Labskaus retrospect

It was just a wonderful day, so many many young and older skatefanatics gave their best to mark this event as what it is: a year highlight, pushed to the limit by itself! From the scene to the scene…true skateculture, YEAH! All of us like to thanks Martin Danker who well organized it once again.

What a great event – Click image to see the first pictures taken at the Kiez SchnizzEEL tour… Stunning competitions, like walking on high heels along the Reeperbahn dresssed like a woman, skate the big wheel, drink 1L shot through the beer bong at Clepto-Hennings base of course;) or creep like an eel shrouded in clingwrap – Have a look these days at Flickr again, when all the aalcohol zombies have uploaded their fotos as well… If you wonder, why all teams carry a pole made of empty beer cans, that was an another funny challenge… So enjoy all picts at flickr! Thx to all members and congratulations to the winning team!

Schnizzeeljagd / Scavenger hunt

Beelonging to the Labskaus-City-Contest there ’s a scavenger hunt through St. Pauli on the 30th May like traditional! Here you can read the some words on it by MetAAl Meier aka E-Z Iron CEE from Blockparty, who is also involved:

let me tell u bout the SchnizzEEL: itz an Aalley cat style Schnitzeljagd,for waalkers,no board or bike needed!! itz smart 2 create a smaall team (max.5p.) and prepare 2 B busy runnin around the kiez for 2-3 hours tryin 2 get money. 

thats fake money,u can earn it by doing crazy+silly things at the checkpoints or aal over the race…it costs 5,-€ per team and U get into the party for free if u enter.. come 2 schlachthof/holztreppe,st.pauli 20h.start is 21h!!!

Labskaus 2009!

Once again our favorite Labskaus Skateboard Contest will happen in town and it is time to re-dish up the delicious Citytour! The secret spots will be of course the main thing to talk about at the warm up Pre-Contest-Party with Blockparty Entertainment the day before at Hafenklang… All organized by our mate Martin Danker. Mr. Stefan Marx once again creates a yummy yummy poster, which shows Monsieur Sheckleur serving a plate of Labskaus (traditional sailors delicatesse from hamburg) for it. The contest takes place at the 31th of may and starts at the Planten un Blomen skating rink at 3pm – For further informations become friend on their Myspace, or visit our blog shortly bevor end of May – See you!
